Allison Kiser

Knowledge about the Lord has been a part of my life since I was a very small child.  My parents are both Christians and I have seen them walk closely with the Lord for as long as I can remember.  I knew the way my parents lived differently from other people I knew.  I could see Christ in their lives, and also in the lives of the other men and women at the church we attended.  When I was nine I made a decision that I did not merely want to tag along in my parent’s relationship with Christ, but I wanted to personally know God.  I became a Christian at a young age, and ever since then God has been radically changing my life.  After I came to know the Lord, my heart and my motivations for everything I did were completely different.  Instead of only wanting my parents to approve of me or to be a “good” child, I wanted to know God.  After I turned my life over to the Lord, I pursued many opportunities for Spiritual growth throughout middle school and high school.

God continued to be faithful to provide more growth opportunities when I came to Georgia College and State University.  I have been actively involved in Campus Outreach since my freshman year of college.  This ministry has helped me to know God better through leadership opportunities, vision building, discipleship relationships, evangelism training, and in many other ways.  The Christ-like example I have seen in this ministry has helped build the vision I have for wanting the World to know God personally.  Throughout the four years I have been in college I have matured as a believer in Christ, and much of this I owe to the men and women in Campus Outreach who have taught me, loved me, spent time with me, and pointed me to God’s Word.  God is so faithful to my growth, and he was so good to lead me to be involved in Campus Outreach.  It is these avenues of growth, that God has provided, that have helped me know God in a more intimate way than I ever would have in college.
