Jonathan Aceves I came to know the Lord in 1996 as a freshman in high school. I was involved in drugs, alcohol, girls, and parties; I was empty, angry and lonely, and when I finally went to jail for drugs I was forced to take a hard look at my life and seriously consider the claims of Christ. I found a gospel tract in my jail cell and I gave Jesus lordship of my life my first day in jail. I got out and started trying to live the Christian life, was a part of my church youth group, went on some missions trips, and decided to go to Augusta State University. I was only marginally involved in CO for my first few years in college; I didn’t understand their vision, but I came to many of the meetings, and I came to almost of the Christmas Conferences since 2000. In 2004, I started meeting with guys in bible studies and in 2005 I was asked to go to South Africa with Campus Outreach. That’s where I really caught the vision of discipleship, and since then I’ve been laboring at Augusta State University, have been on two beach projects, and now am going on staff in the Campus Outreach office as an administrator. I am excited about continuing to pour my life into the students God has entrusted me with, sharing the gospel with students on the college campus, and supporting the other staff members from the office.
