Matt May

Matt & Eileen May

Matt has been on staff with Campus Outreach for four years since graduating from Augusta State University. He became a Christian in high school, and got involved with Campus Outreach during college.  His desire to serve in full-time ministry grew during his college years as he was being discipled.  After two Summer Beach Projects and a Cross Cultural Project to Africa, God gave Matt a clear vision and gripped his heart with a passion to take the gospel to college students at Augusta State.

Eileen came to know the Lord after her freshman year of college, and began to get involved through a discipleship group at the University of North Florida.     She spent several years working with Campus Outreach at Augusta State University in the office and on the campus.  Matt and Eileen had been staff partners for 2 years in Augusta before being married in November of 2007.

Matt and Eileen have both served at Augusta State for the past four years and are excited as the Lord is leading them to bring the gospel and start a new Campus Outreach at the University of South Carolina - Aiken.

With the move to USC-A from ASU, Eileen and I are trusting the Lord to provide housing, whether that is renting or buying, that is near the campus/church and is in our price range.  At the same time, being on staff, we have the privilege of raising our full support. This support covers all of our needs including tithing, housing, health insurance, car insurance, taxes, food, utilities, gas money, savings, and miscellaneous (clothing, toiletries, etc.)  Currently we are at 72% of our monthly support goal of $4,000, and are trusting the Lord to raise the full support by December that we may be on the campus full time without distractions.

Updated Prayer Requests:

1. Financial Support: $4000 in monthly support—(Ephesians 3:20, Romans 8:32, Psalm 50:10)

2. Housing:  Wisdom and discernment in whether to rent or buy, and for provision as well before November.

3. That they would experience the nearness of our God and have deep intimacy with our Lord—(Ephesians 3:16-19, Psalm 73:25-28)

4. That the Lord would go before us and prepare the fields at USC-A so that many students would respond to the gospel and would become laborers in His harvest field. (Isaiah 45:2-3, Isaiah 60:22)

5. For our marriage—that we would love one-another selflessly with the love and grace we’ve received from Christ.  And that the Lord would lead our marriage and use it to display His glory to those around us.  (1 Corinthians 13:4-7, 2 Corinthians 5:14-15)
