My family was one of genuine Christianity and love for the Lord. From the time I was young, I knew all the right  words to say and the actions not to do to make my parents happy. I had always been a “good person,” making sure that I didn’t do all the things that I thought would really send me to Hell, but I found my life to be empty of anything that really mattered. I had spent my life working for the approval of people and it left me empty. I had heard the gospel all my life, but when I came to this point at age 14, I first really examined the claims of Christ, who He was and what He said He could do. I remember that in that period of time, I gave up my righteousness in favor of His. I trusted Christ with my life, currently and after death. He is the Bread of Life, whoever comes to Him will never hunger, and whoever believes in Him will never thirst (Jn. 6:35). I am living proof.
