Chris & Cary Drinkard

Chris has been on staff with Campus Outreach since graduating from Georgia Tech in 1998.  He became a Christian in the spring of his sophomore year of college through the influence of Campus Outreach.  His desire to serve in full-time ministry grew during his college years and by the end of his senior year he knew that the Lord was leading him to minister to college students full-time.

Cary became a Christian as a young teenager and sensed the Lord’s call to full-time ministry while she was in college at Furman University.  She spent several years working with Campus Outreach at Augusta State University and then one year ministering to college students in Brazil before she married Chris.  She and Chris met in Augusta while they were on staff at Augusta State and married two years later in 2001.

Since 2002, Chris and Cary have been living and ministering in Statesboro, GA. Since then God has blessed them with two children, Susanna and Daniel. Chris continues to reach out to students at Georgia Southern University, sharing the gospel and discipling men on campus.  However, much Chris’ time is spent fulfilling his Field Director responsibilities.

His primary Field Director responsibilities include:

  1. Overseeing the COA Leadership team which is composed of Glenn Wilkins (Area Director), BJ Jordan, Justin Leslein, and Matt May (Campus Directors).
  2. Shepherding all COA staff and leading staff training times throughout the year.
  3. Helping organize and execute the Christmas Conference in December/January.

Updated Prayer Requests:

1. That Chris and Cary would seek Christ and his kingdom first as they raise their family and invest in staff and students.

2. Wisdom for Chris as he shepherds the COA staff and Leadership Team.

3. For the Lord to go before Chris as he shares the gospel and disciples students at Georgia Southern University.

4. For the Lord to use Chris and Cary to help students and staff come to love and serve the Lord more fully
